Get Out Of My House was my final project and hand in piece.

After doing a lot of work in 2D, I decided I wanted to challenge myself and leave my comfort zone for my final project.

I wanted to try and use GOOMH and my last year of uni, to expand my skills further in a 3D environment.

My concept for Get out Of My House was that you would play the game as a ghost, the ghost of a man who, in life, was a bit of a social recluse.  He loved only his home, and that was all, so much so that after death he refuses to let anyone else take his home from him.

Your goal in the game is to stop anyone from moving into, or subsequently settling into your home.

The game is high score based, however many in-game days you manage to maintain dominance over your home will be your final score and entered onto the leader board at the end of the game when you eventually lose the house.

The game works in three main stages:

Stage one is viewing, an Estate Agent escorts an adult Male and Female around each room in the house, your goal is to scare the adults off before they have seen all of the rooms.  If you fail in this, the game moves on to the second stage.

Stage two is the shortest stage of the game, and is the family moving in, the adults come back with two small children and begin going about their daily routines, if the family is able to stick around for a whole day without you scaring them away, the game moves on to stage three.

Stage three is the danger zone, the family bring in the decorators, who start painting the rooms of the house, once a room is fully painted, you lose access to that room. If you lose access to all of the rooms, the house is no longer yours and it is game over, this is when you get to enter your score onto the (local) leader board.

If at any point during these stages you successfully scare the family away, the game returns to stage 1, and Mr. Estate Agent has to continue looking for tenants with the nerves to endure your presence.
